Holidays with the Familes

We were in Nevada with family for Christmas. We celebrated Christmas Eve and Christmas day with the Kandt family, going to church Christmas Eve. At one point during the service, during a quiet moment, I was holding you and you were facing backward. You spotted a little girl sitting immediately behind us and shouted, “Hi! Hi! Hi-iiiii!”. It was pretty funny. You also went up with your cousin for the children’s story time, and while the story was being read you spotted a camel in the book and shouted “CAMEL!”. That solicited even more laughs.

Christmas morning we open presents then we headed to the Lake to Kyle’s house. We went for a walk and you loved sledding down a hill and being pulled in the sled around the neighborhood. There were many snowmen all over the neighborhood, and you enjoyed spotting them and inspecting each one. We stayed at Kyle’s for a couple days, and enjoyed the slower pace in the mountains, relaxing with family, and getting to spend some time with little Liam. You did very well with your new cousin, saying “pat” and “gentle” when you wanted to interact with him. You loved giving him kisses.

Late in the week we headed to Minden to meet up with your grandma and grandpa, as well as Gretchen, Matt and your cousins. You had lots of fun playing with them, and Saturday we headed up to the lake for pictures and playtime. You loved throwing rocks into the lake, and spent probably an hour doing just that. We couldn’t get you to leave!

We headed back to Reno that afternoon and attended Liam’s baptism the next day. Although a bit of a hectic trip with a new location every day or two, it was so nice to spend the holiday with family, and to get to see everyone on both sides of the family.
